We are currently seeking a Senior PCD Design Engineer & ECAD Librarian.  This position requires an experienced professional with a solid background in PCB design, hardware engineering; Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment

The Role

  • Responsible for all aspects of PCB design, work with hardware design engineers and PCB/Assembly venders to determine PCB stack-up, component placement route apply design constraints, perform component placement and signal routing and DFM. 
  • Assist hardware engineers to  incorporate the results of signal and power integrity analysis, release fab and assembly package into the Lucid PLM system.
  • Preparing fabrication notes, assembly notes and all deliverables required by production to build prototypes and released product including Gerber files, drill charts and PCB Assembly BOMs.
  • Create OrCAD schematic symbols, PCB footprint and 3D component models in Allegro, manage and maintain Lucid ECAD library database

Qualifications

  • BS/MS Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Experience using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro is required.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of PCB Design, PCB stack-up and materials, understand PCB technology and process.
  • PCB design experience in analog and digital hybrid design, HDI, all phase of design includes heat transfer, impedance control, EMC, critical circuit routing, as well as PCB reliability such as vibration and stress.
  • Experience and knowledge of IPC standards and practices
  • Proven track records of design & manage all aspects of PCB design used in high volume products
  • 10+ years experience of PCB design using Cadence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive product experience.
  • Experience with flex and Rigid-Flex board design and manufacturing
