We are looking for a Senior Accountant Lead to deliver accurate accounting information and provide value-add reporting. This role will be an integral part of the Accounting team, in addition to interaction with other areas of the Company.  This position will report to the Corporate Controller.

The Role

  • Assist in the preparation of the financial statements following both US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Management of the Month-end general ledger close.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial schedules and reports for internal and external parties and auditors.
  • Prepare variance and trend analysis and ad hoc requests.
  • Assist in the creation and/or documentation of accounting policies, processes, and procedures.  Creation of Accounting Memos on technical subjects.
  • Drive process improvements, understanding accounting systems (QuickBooks and SAP), and make recommendations for changes to enhance performance, efficiency, and growth.
  • Communicate with global counterparts to seek information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other members of the group. Assist and support of day-to-day staff accountants’ transactional activities.
  • Help review work prepared by staff accountants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience. A CPA certification is a plus and/or prior experience in public accounting.  Working familiarity with accounting concepts.
  • Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.
  • Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Established ability using Microsoft Office software with a particular high proficiency with Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and SAP.
