Lucid Motors is currently seeking an experienced General Assembly Process/Tooling Manager to support the engineering and design activities that would lead to the successful execution and launch of the Lucid Air in a fast-paced, cross-functional greenfield environment. The successful candidate will lead the General Assembly Industrial and Process Engineering teams through the setup of the workstations and processes in our all new assembly plant

The Role

  • Develop organizational plans to recruit, hire and manage the GA Process and industrial engineering teams.
  • Develop specifications for custom equipment.
  • Measure and level work load in the manufacturing process.
  • Create detailed work instructions for each operation.
  • Design production workstations for ergonomics and efficiency.
  • Forge cross-functional relationships between engineering, quality, production and HR.
  • Create, implement and review all manufacturing standard operation procedures and control plans.
  • Coordinate interdependent tasks and deliverables with other groups across the Lucid Motors company, including Engineering, Design Studio, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Process and Sustaining Engineering;

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering is preferred or 10+ years demonstrable experience, preferably in automotive industry.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes for new and unique products in automotive environment.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing equipment.
  • Industrial and Process engineering experience in manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).
  • Experience calculating workloads and methodizing operations to improve throughput and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (MS-Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio);
  • Proven ability to communicate to people at all levels within an engineering organization;
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated and highly organized;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office and plant floor environment, meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Critical management skills with a high level of initiative and sound judgement;
  • Practical understanding of product development processes.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
