We are looking for a Tub/Enclosure Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery of tubs or enclosures. 

You, as the ideal candidate, should have the desire and ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. You are an excellent multitasker, know how to prioritize and have impeccable focus.

The Role:

  • Be directly responsible for the design and CAD of various high voltage battery components
  • Work with the different analysis teams throughout the company to validate these designs
  • Work with the testing team and be involved with the testing (hands on fabrication of fixtures, prototypes, etc) to validate the analysis
  • Become immersed in the HV Mechanical team, attend and contribute to design reviews and help mentor younger engineers
  • Participate in DFMEA sessions
  • Write specifications pertaining to the design and validation of various HV components and contribute to other engineers’ efforts in the same
  • Become a part of a highly cohesive, enthusiastic and principled engineering team to deliver something truly exceptional

Qualifications:

  • 5 + years or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • A background in materials and lightweight structures
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
  • The ability to demonstrate previous projects requiring cross-functional cooperation and demonstrate previous projects in structural design 
  • A solid grounding in material selection and manufacturing techniques including composites
  • Experience with CAD in at least one professional 3D CAD packages, preferably Catia with the ability to generate drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Master's Preferred
