We are looking for an HR Generalist to be a part of our Human Resources Operations Team to support to our employees through the next critical phase on the company’s journey to success.  Over the next year, the company plans to double our employee population as we approach the start of production.

The Role

  • Ensures company in full compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.  Assess and understand recent and changing employment related laws and guidelines, and communicate the information with the HR Team.
  • Counsel employees concerning work-related problems and providing feedback to management when necessary. 
  • Maintains HRIS records, generate data, and analyze reports from the database.
  • Ensure data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Manage and execute employee on-boarding and continue enhancement of on-boarding program.
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between HR and employees.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks.
  • Assist with performance review preparation, roll-out and management of processes.
  • Administer off-boarding processes.
  • Provide education and guidance to employees and management on HR systems/processes/ policies.
  • Participate in design, development and implementation of employee programs as requested.
  • Assist and support Benefit Administration.
  • Support company initiatives and maintain records for government required reporting.
  • May be asked to provide support in varied HR disciplines, HRIS/systems administration, benefits, employee programs, employee relations, compensation, performance management, training and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Working knowledge and experience in multiple HR functions and procedures (pay and benefits, compensation, labor law and employment best practices, HR systems, training, performance management, employee relations, change management).
  • Commitment to results.  Take initiative and have proven ability to learn from all experiences and drive project to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong HR Systems experience/administration and knowledge
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and emotional maturity.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail to ensure quality in every interaction and deliverable.  Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems and processes. Ultipro experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship, thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to HR
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or related field.
