This management position requires a highly experienced professional Program Manager with a proven track record of excellence and managerial achievement. The candidate will be an accomplished team leader and manager, with a strong organizational capability and ability to command respect from the talented teams he or she will help lead and coordinate.  This candidate will have proactive communication, so each individual team member remains aware of the timing and delivery expectations placed upon them and that critical issues are identified and brought to the attention of senior management with gauged advance notice.

The Role

  • Lead and manage to an excellent standard through hands-on example
  • Create and play a leading role in the execution of an overall timing plan for our Audio and Acoustics products, including definition of main work packages 
  • Interact with and coordinate work between audio/acoustics team members, electronic hardware, mechanical packaging, supply chain, third parties including system tuning experts, integration teams and other company entities that interface with the audio and acoustics products.
  • Facilitate product and functional/technical safety requirement and test case documentation, as well as architecture documentation
  • Play a primary role in outsourcing activities including RFP and SOW development, coordination of technical and performance evaluation, negotiation of commercial and technical terms (in support of supply chain) and the management of outsourced development activities.
  • Drive consistent and timely closure of program deliverables
  • Define and communicate dependencies between hardware, software, and suppliers with a focus on minimizing these dependencies.
  • Clearly communicate program status to overall software organization, other program managers and executives as required
  • Work with resource managers and technical leads to define the level of effort, resource requirements and summary timing plans.
  • Plan and manage sprints and hardware development tasks in conjunction with resource managers and technical leads
  • A passion for developing the best in-vehicle audio system on the market


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience program/project managing large systems development programs
  • A minimum of 8 years in audio products or embedded systems/electronics development including hardware and software.
  • A proven track record of delivering audio/acoustics products
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology including sprint planning and execution, as well as a strong understanding of hardware development management methods
  • Experience bringing integrated software/hardware products from the early development phase to production
  • Embedded system development experience
  • Experience with best software and electronic hardware practices for development
  • Experience with/exposure to development in C/C++, Linux and/or Android development environments and DSP development
  • Experience engaging, working and managing the output of third party suppliers
  • Experience in developing automotive (in-vehicle) audio systems/products including use of V-cycle systems development model
  • Experience with natural language voice systems – hardware and software
  • Exposure to audio system tuning processes and a strong ear for audio performance
  • Experience with test and build aspects of software development
  • BS minimum in an engineering discipline (computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
  • PMP certification preferred
