We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Field Quality Improvement. This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to build, motivate, and lead a team of quality experts.  He or she will be responsible for achievement of quality objectives based on world-class benchmarks, and will work cooperatively and cross-functionally with all areas of the Lucid team, especially the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams.  The successful candidate will have a strong track record of continuously improving quality, preferably with direct OEM experience.  Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. 

You Will:

  • Lead the Vehicle Quality Specialist team
  • Responsible for Quality Objective achievement (3MIS, Consumer Reports)
  • New model launch quality validation
  • Trial reviews, validation
  • Vehicle safety audits
  • Manufacturing and supplier process validation
  • New model requirement definition
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC)
  • Quality Specifications
  • Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) specification at the component, assembly, and vehicle level
  • Important-A process identification and validation (safety critical operations)
  • Feed market quality experience into new model design specifications
  • Field incident identification
  • Field incident scrambles and investigation
  • Warranty part return tear-down and analysis
  • Countermeasure development and confirmation of effectiveness
  • Support Legal department on cases involving product field issues
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams for resolution of complex and/or chronic issues
  • Field crash investigations
  • Lead the Part Return team
  • Develop, deploy and administer warranty part return system
  • Institute and manage dealer/service incident reporting
  • Manage facility and equipment for return part teardown/investigation
  • Support issue recreation on return parts

You Bring:

  • 15+ years of applicable experience leading/building teams from beginning to end
  • 15+ years of applicable automotive quality experience
  • OEM experience preferred
  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
  • MBA and/or Technical Master’s degree preferred
