We are currently seeking a Program Manager, supporting our Supply Chain team.  The Program Manager manages all supplier timing and readiness and is a key internal interface with Global Supply Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing and the Program teams.  The Global Supply Manager must identify, develop, and manage risks associated with supplier schedules. He or she will report PPAP and Production readiness of the supply base to executive management.

The Role:

  • Partner with the Global Supply Managers, Program Planners, and Supplier Quality to obtain, negotiate, and maintain supplier production timing (Est. 200 suppliers)
  • Create dashboards, risk summaries, execution plans, and safe-launch scenarios where required. This detail will be presented weekly to executive management.
  • Partner with engineering program managers and program launch managers to share data and ensure objectives and priorities are aligned
  • Evaluate timing impacts to engineering changes (ECR’s) or supplier issues
  • Work with critical or long lead-time suppliers to develop practices and scenarios to reduce timing or develop alternative safe-launch strategies
  • Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise
  • Travel 25% to visit key suppliers to perform business and program reviews


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MBA a plus
  • 6+ years of Program Management or Supplier launch execution
  • Understanding in automotive manufacturing processes and an understanding of the PPAP process
  • Product launch experience
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.  Able to show teamwork to resolve problems and a thought process to drive successful solutions
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage difficult suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff
  • Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, or equivalent program management software
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
