We are currently seeking an audiophile to lead product management for our acoustic systems.  The Lucid Air must have the best audio performance while at the same time have the quietest cabin on the road.  Lucid Air will deliver a seamless voice experience by implementing superior automatic speech recognition (ASR), natural language understanding (NLU) and biometric authentication to provide the best acoustic experience in the automobile.  You will enable high fidelity audio playback, crystal clear voice communication, and superior noise abatement.  Lucid Rear Seat Entertainment will be an immersive theatrical multi-media experience.

You will be responsible for driving customer requirements into new product features and roadmaps.  You will work with our design and development teams to scope, plan, and build new innovative acoustics experiences.  Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.  Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role

  • Work closely with senior management, engineering, analysts, product design, and suppliers to analyze, interpret, and define the systems-level requirements and develop a roadmap for the best luxury acoustic experience in the automobile market
  • Contribute to and own the execution of audio product strategy and cultivate buy-in with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and evangelize customer needs, develop business cases and prioritize product requirements
  • Synthesize data from various sources to inform decisions, leveraging customers, market, competitors, internal teams, research, intuition and prior experience
  • Manage both individual products and the portfolio lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical deployment to end of life
  • Focus on building the right thing at the right time to satisfy customer requests and market trends
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and business development teams to develop, maintain and distribute product information and training materials for internal teams and external partners
  • Own and proactively update competitive analysis plus technology trends and opportunities
  • Actively participate in trade shows and customer visits, demonstrations        


  • 10 years experience in product planning for consumer electronics or automotive products
  • Significant experience in audio products and acoustic technologies
  • Strong background in product management, engineering, strategy, and business development
  • Passion for high fidelity audio experiences
  • Appreciation for innovative user experience
  • Experience with market research and competitive analysis
  • Experience interacting and managing third party vendors and partners
  • Knowledgeable about digital audio and video formats, streaming technology and digital media
  • Experience working in an Agile software development process operating within a larger organization with a variety of development methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing product delivery best practices
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional and proven leadership skills
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple high-quality products for the consumer or automotive markets
  • Passion for excellence and quality
  • Demonstrated ability to continually grow and develop yourself and your team
  • High energy and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of embedded hardware, software, and system architectures
  • Ability to create vision and strategy and communicate effectively to executive, technical and business audiences
  • Capable of leverage business intelligence and analytics to drive data-driven decisions
  • BS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with IoT, wearables, digital assistant, smart connected and devices, consumer electronics
  • EVs and connected vehicles
  • Experience with ISO 26262 or other automotive product development processes
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Degree in acoustics, mechanical, software, electrical, computer engineering or similar
  • Experience with wireless and automotive technologies as well as cloud-based services
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning
