We are currently seeking a Director, Business Development & Partnerships at our HQ in Newark, CA.

You will work cross-functionally to develop and execute partnership strategies that complement Lucid’s overall offering to customers and, where applicable, create incremental revenue generating opportunities for Lucid.  Partnership areas include but are not limited to autonomous driving, MaaS, aftersales, infotainment and data monetization.  You will be responsible for developing partnership strategies, identifying target partners, building relationships, negotiating contracts, onboarding partners, and managing the ongoing growth of existing partnerships.  

The Role

  • Work cross functionally to lead the development and execution of partnership strategies across various areas of the business
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities, build actionable business cases and present to senior management for buy-in
  • Negotiate contracts, onboard partners and oversee the growth of existing relationships
  • Guide and manage the performance of partner companies to ensure joint success
  • Establish and maintain strong professional networks inside and outside Lucid Motors
  • Build and manage a team of high performing team players

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree, Masters preferred
  • 10+ years’ direct experience leading business development teams within automotive, mobility or technology sectors
  • Existing network of relevant relationships that can be applied from day one
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate key technical concepts, ability to package complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow progressions
  • Experience in executing deal term and contract negotiation to beat targets and goals
