Test Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing 
 
Experience requirements: 
·        Responsibility for the design of experiments & fixtures, while conducting, recording, and clear reporting of results. 
·        Ability to demonstrate technical excellence and apply first-principle engineering to new applications. be excited to work as part of a close-knit and cohesive team to deliver outstanding support to the advanced manufacturing team.  
·        Direct experience in the mechanical design and testing of various materials via various test standards. 
·        A history of working independently with limited oversight or input once a base understanding has been established  
·        Experience with CAD in at least one professional 3D CAD package, preferably Catia (V5 or V6) with the ability to generate drawings. 
·        Programming experience in Matlab, Visual Basic, Python is not required, but preferred 
·        Experience of basic fabrication techniques and an ability to communicate effectively with machine shop staff to drive results on time.  
·        An ability to mitigate unforeseen problems proactively and effectively. 
·        Broad experience with mechanical testing of metals, bonded joints, composites,  
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) 
 
Education Requirements:  
·        BS/MS  Mechanical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent).  
 
Job Duties 
·        Support Advanced Manufacturing Team with various engineering programs  
·        Create DOEs and execute from start to finish  
o   Create test plan, prepare specimen, conduct test, analyze results (including sources of error), and present findings.  
·        Interact with suppliers on a technical level. 
o   Set up and run meetings with suppliers to drive results
