We are currently seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • Develop, validate, and enhance various power electronics products for electric vehicles
  • Be responsible for power converter modeling, coding for control algorithm and communication, prototype testing.
  • Perform verification and validation of the firmware
  • Integrate hardware and firmware of power electronics converters
  • Invent and create new technologies and solutions
  • Have a focus on control/firmware development for power converters


  • Solid background in power electronics modeling and control
  • Hands on experience in DSP and FPGA board design and development
  • Industrial design/debugging/validation experience with AC/DC, DC/DC converters
  • Proficient in C/C++, VHDL/Verilog programming language
  • Familiarity with development tools such as compilers and debuggers
  • Thorough understanding of software development practices
  • Experience in real-time operating systems
  • Experience in PCB design, using schematic capture and layout tools
  • Minimum – BS in the areas of power electronics, electric power or electrical engineering.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS with over 5 years of experience, or Ph.D. with over 2 years of experience
  • Automotive experience
  • Experience with communication protocols like CAN, PLC etc.
  • Good understanding of design for manufacturing, quality control, and FMEA
  • Knowledge of safety and EMI requirements related to high power applications
  • Knowledge of environmental, reliability requirement for automotive, industrial and residential applications
  • Grid-connected inverter experience
