The EH&S Specialist supports day-to-day operations by managing a number of EH&S processes including safety trainings and participating in EH&S inspections. The EH&S Specialist supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all Lucid EH&S Program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. 

Responsibilities

  • Support EH&S operations in a fast paced, cross functional and highly collaborative environment, serving groups that perform activities including R&D, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication between all organizations within site operations. 
  • Provide support for EH&S programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc. 
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Facilitate incident investigation process. 
  • Maintain required paperwork to comply with CalOSHA regulations. 
  • Perform safety observations and audits. 
  • Perform specific safety training.
  • May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in an Environmental Health & Safety related field. Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety-related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies and requirements. 
  • Practical, hands-on experience with LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Ergonomics, etc. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point in a professional capacity. 
  • Well organized with meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to prioritize and execute work among competing priorities.
  • Experienced in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates.
