We are currently seeking a Security Shift Lead.  This position requires an experienced professional with a Security Shift Lead.  The Shift Lead will be trained in all the HQ security duties as well as directing all Contract Security personnel and any direct reports.  Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • The Shift Lead will be responsible for all Security Officers that work in an access control, patrol position or Badging Office. The position requires an individual who is professional in appearance, courteous, and helpful to all employees, contractors and guests. Is fluent in spoken and written English and is capable of writing Incident reports, Logs and Passdown information to oncoming shifts. The Security Shift Lead will be trained in all the security duties as well as directing all Contract Security personnel and any direct reports.
  • Oversee a shift which includes; Security Operation Center (SOC), Badging Office and Security personnel.
  • Review the Passdown Log.
  • Receive, sign for and check the condition of, as appropriate, all equipment, packages, keys, etc. from the Officer being relieved.
  • Assist employees, visitors and vendors with a concerned public relations attitude.
  • Maintain a high Profile, acting as a deterrent to theft.
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Protect personnel and property by observing and reporting safety, hazardous or equipment problems. 
  • Know and enforce all General Security Procedures. 
  • Know, understand and complete all reports as appropriate.
  • Pass all pertinent information to your relief.
  • Respond to emergencies as directed by the Console Operator or Supervisor as required.
  • Unlock doors, as requested.
  • Investigate Incidents as directed.
  • Conduct emergencies escorts for outside assistance.
  • Enforce parking violations.
  • Conduct patrols of Lucid property.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills highly preferred
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Previous law enforcement or military experience with honorable discharge preferred
  • Ability to walk/stand/sit for up to 12 hours at a time as needed 
  • Capable of independent problem solving with minimal supervision preferred
  • Solid experience with access control, CCTV and other security systems experience 
  • Experience in a Lead capacity preferred
  • Solid proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as operational need dictates 
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving experience preferred
