Kay Stepper
President of Lucid Technologies and Chief Digital Officer
Kay Stepper serves as President of Lucid Technologies and Chief Digital Officer. In his role, Kay is responsible for advanced driver assistance systems, autonomy and robotaxi innovations, AI and enterprise IT, as well as building the operating model to support future profitability within Lucid Technologies. In this role, Kay is focused on strategic partnerships and advanced technologies, with the objective to accelerate shareholder value creation in this high growth, fast changing sector.
With over 25 years in the automotive industry, Kay brings deep expertise in engineering, research, product development, and marketing across the U.S. and Germany. Before joining Lucid, Kay was Vice President of Automotive at Qualcomm, and Senior Vice President at Bosch.
A recognized thought leader, Kay is frequently consulted by media and industry associations on automated driving, crash avoidance systems, and vehicle safety education. He has also provided expert testimony to government bodies, including the U.S. Congress.
Kay holds a PhD and M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
