Lucid continues to advance its commitment to a more sustainable future by aligning environmental responsibility with operational resilience and financial discipline. As part of this effort, Lucid is implementing a new 12‑megawatt on‑site solar energy system which is expected to be operational next year. Undertaken through a solar lease program, the new energy system supports Lucid’s long‑term sustainability strategy while preserving capital to fuel continued innovation and growth.

Once online, the solar installation is expected to generate approximately 22.5 million kilowatt‑hours of clean electricity each year. That production will deliver a meaningful environmental impact by avoiding about 13,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, which is equivalent to the emissions associated with more than 33 million miles driven by an average gasoline‑powered passenger vehicle. Over 25 years, the system is expected to avoid approximately 310,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, supporting Lucid’s long-term decarbonization efforts.¹

Project anticipated to be installed Q2 2027.

The project also strengthens Lucid’s energy resilience by generating renewable electricity directly on site. By reducing peak demand and reliance on externally sourced power, the system supports local grid reliability while enhancing operational flexibility and long‑term energy security.

“Integrating clean energy directly into our facilities does more than just power our operations—it creates a workplace our teams can be proud of. This project is a tangible reminder that we’re building a future that is as sustainable as it is resilient.”

Senior Vice President of Operations at Lucid

In addition, the solar installation delivers a tangible benefit for employees through the inclusion of additional covered parking. This feature improves the daily on‑site experience while thoughtfully integrating sustainability into the physical workplace environment.

Together, these benefits reflect Lucid’s holistic approach to sustainability, one that balances positive environmental impact with operational excellence, employee experience, and sound financial stewardship. The project demonstrates Lucid’s belief that responsible energy decisions can support environmental impact while creating lasting value for the business and the communities it serves.
