This week, Lucid is proud to take part in the inaugural Trinitē Road Rally, a four-day road rally that will showcase the uncompromising blend of performance, dynamic handling, and range offered by the company’s products¹. Running May 4–7, the rally spans some of Northern California’s most engaging roads and culminates with a competitive track experience at the legendary Sonoma Raceway. 

Representing Team Lucid are automotive journalists Kristin Shaw and Jill Ciminillo competing in a Lucid Air Sapphire (Team No. 40), and Lucid Vehicle Dynamics Engineer Rachel Abril and Vehicle Controls Calibration Engineer Aidan Bowman in a Lucid Gravity Grand Touring (Team No. 41), showcasing the breadth of Lucid’s performance portfolio across two distinct vehicle categories. 

At the heart of Lucid’s entry is the Lucid Air Sapphire, the quickest four-door production vehicle to date. Its tri‑motor powertrain delivers 1,234 horsepower, paired with exceptional handling, 427 miles of EPA rated range, and supreme comfort.

Ciminillo added, “Because the Trinitē Rally is new, we don’t quite know what to expect, and founder Emily Miller is sure to throw us a couple of curveballs if the Rebelle Rally is anything to go by,” added Ciminillo. “But I am looking forward to conquering this new event in the Lucid Air Sapphire, not only because of its long range capability but also the incredible comfort this large sedan offers.”

Shaw and Ciminillo bring decades of combined experience across automotive journalism, vehicle evaluation, and competitive rallying. While Lucid Gravity brings a different form factor to the rally, it carries the same DNA, including precise steering, confident handling, and effortless power delivery, that defines Lucid vehicles.
