Today, we’ve gone a step beyond with the release of Air UX 3.0,¹ which puts some of the best elements of the award-winning, human-centered in-car UX of Lucid Gravity in the hands of Lucid Air drivers.

Air UX 3.0 comes standard on the new 2027 Lucid Air and will be delivered to model year 2025 and newer Lucid Air vehicles via an over-the-air update. For model year 2022, 2023, and some 2024 Lucid Air vehicles, Air UX 3.0 is available with a hardware upgrade.² Read on to learn more about what makes Air UX 3.0 unique.

User Experience that Makes an Award-Wining EV Even Better

The in-car UX of Lucid Gravity, which we developed based on years of research and lessons learned from Lucid Air, won a prestigious Gold iF Design Award in 2024, setting the standard for the in-car UX of the future. With Air UX 3.0, we’ve made Lucid Air’s in-car UX even more cohesive and intuitive, bringing much of what makes Lucid Gravity so special to Lucid Air, with a focus on vehicle controls, profiles, media, and navigation.

More Intuitive Vehicle Controls and Displays

Air UX 3.0 makes navigating Lucid Air's displays even easier, putting what drivers need just a tap away. We’ve carefully reconsidered how the Cockpit Panel and Pilot Panel work in tandem to make driver interactions seamless and put everything where it just makes sense. Menus, settings, and buttons are all in the right spot, so drivers who are used to Air UX 2.0 will be able to find their way around quickly, without having to refamiliarize themselves with their displays.

Brand-New Right Cockpit Panel Interactions

The Home, Navigation, Media, and Phone buttons remain in the same place, while the rest of the Home screen gets a brand-new look and feel: swipeable cards for the most-used features are now front and center, letting drivers complete their most common actions with just one touch. Control active media, adjust car controls, make calls, and navigate more efficiently. Swipe left or right to see more cards, and swipe cards down to open the full app on the Pilot Panel.

We’ve reimagined the Pilot Panel to deliver only essential controls, while the rest can be found in the new Quick Controls menu, which is accessible by swiping down from the top of the display. Drivers only see what they need at first glance, but their key settings and controls are always within easy reach. 

Seamless Multitasking

Find that favorite tune while adding a charging stop to a route. Access vehicle controls while taking an important call. Switch to a new app instantly, without interrupting the previous one. Air UX 3.0’s unified architecture ensures Lucid Air's displays keep up with everything an uncompromising driver expects them to do.

Enjoy more immersive Apple CarPlay³ and Android Auto⁴ experiences. Both now completely fill the Right Cockpit Panel, providing a larger interface for you to use your favorite apps in your vehicle, from navigation to media, messaging, and more.

Find the EV Way There

The Navigation app now features a completely revamped dual-screen experience, with an updated interface and new features, like Favorites and Auto Dark Mode, that were previously only available in Lucid Gravity.

Better yet, Navigation now has even smarter EV routing capabilities for trip planning that drivers can tailor to their needs. Set routing preferences to favor charging stops at preferred charging networks, include charging stations that require a Lucid-approved adapter, and set a minimum range on arrival for greater navigation confidence.

Profiles that Feel More Personal

The driver profile experience is improved, with faster switching between profiles, so every recognized driver’s settings and preferences are ready to go when they are. The Primary profile can now also manage keys linked to other profiles for greater control.

Resetting Guest Profiles

Guest profiles are now easier to reset, so the next friend or family member who drives starts fresh. We’ve also added a PIN to switch out of the Guest profile, protecting the privacy and security of Primary and Secondary profiles.  

Easier Entry and Exit

Easy Entry & Exit is now more personal and tailored to each driver. Now when getting in and out with this setting enabled, the driver’s seat will automatically move relative to the saved seat position, providing just the right amount of space to get situated more easily.
